Lamed

Lamed is maybe my favorite letter, but this sure isn't my favorite painting. Lamed - pronounced with 2 syllables (lah-med) is the number 12. It is picture of a cattle goad. OK - I haven't seen a cattle goad so I'll take their word for it. However when we were kids my older brother chased me all over a feed store trying to get me with an electric cattle prod - but I think that looks a little different.  - It means "control, authority, the tongue" and is like our letter "l". The lower right is the modern Hebrew lamed. The "l" in the upper right annoys the heck out of me and this painting my get changed.
